Sick Leave and Absences
Purpose
Define procedures for reporting sick leave and other absences to ensure proper coverage and compliance with Spanish labor law.
Scope
All Dreamshot employees.
Policy
Sick Leave (Incapacidad Temporal)
When you are unable to work due to illness:
- Days 1-3: Self-certification. Notify your manager via Slack as early as possible
- Day 4+: Medical certificate (parte de baja) required from your doctor
- Submit medical documentation to Factorial
Medical Appointments
- Schedule non-urgent appointments outside core hours when possible
- Notify your manager in advance
- No formal documentation required for routine appointments
Other Absences

Return to Work
- Notify your manager when you expect to return
- If you were on medical leave (baja), provide the discharge certificate (parte de alta)
How to Report an Absence
- Notify immediately: Message your manager on Slack as soon as you know you cannot work
- Log in Factorial: Submit the absence request with the appropriate type
- Provide documentation: Upload any required certificates to Factorial
